After a brief flirtation with photography (one of my subjects), while studying at North West University, Potchefstroom Campus, I was hooked! ... I still have my very first camera, an old Olympus OM 10 (YES, it's film ;-) ). After completing my degree, I enrolled and completed my photography studies in 2005, at the National College of Photography.
With my studio based in Pretoria East, it's easily accessible to / from all main routes giving me the opportunity to offer my clients the best of both worlds - from studio sessions to location and lifestyle shoots.
In 2017 I invested in sharpening up my skills as a newborn photographer, taking my photographs to a whole new level. I also started focusing a bit more on my love for pet photography, loving the challenge of doing something special with each of the critters visiting the studio.
Career highlights
In 2002 I was the overall winner, category photography, at the North West University, Potchefstroom Campus, talent festival. In 2005 I received the best Fine Art Photography award from the National College of Photography. In 2006 my photograph "Mother and Child" was published in the Readers Digest. In 2009, if memory serves me right, I've had a photograph published in Weg. (You can have a look at my blog for the story behind the photo). In 2014 a few of my photographs were used on E-Nuus, sharing a bit of the cold weather with my fellow South Africans.
